Introducing our new icon

alt text

We’ve refreshed our icon design to align more closely with our product philosophy.

The rounded rectangle symbolizes a touch-based interface and a defined interaction zone. The surrounding dots visualize Delta Plan’s expansive and unconstrained perspective. This update reflects our ongoing effort to make complex systems feel intuitive and open.

DELTΔ: A Modular Camera Platform

DELTΔ is a modular camera platform designed to evolve over time. Rather than shipping a fixed set of features, it is built as a system of independent components that can be connected and expanded when the technology is ready.

Each capability in DELTΔ exists as a standalone module. This allows the app to remain lightweight and stable, while enabling new functionality to be added without disrupting existing workflows. Features are designed to last, not to be replaced every release cycle. So the first advanced module in this system is Live Focus. Live Focus extracts depth information from any image without relying on specialized hardware, allowing focus to be adjusted after capture. It is not a visual effect, but a performance-driven image processing feature built to be difficult to replicate.

At a deeper level, a captured moment and its visual result are both part of a time-series. Light, motion, focus, and exposure evolve over time before becoming a single image. From this perspective, DELTΔ is a concrete implementation of the QCS Foundation, applying time-series thinking to visual data.

DELTΔ grows by connecting durable, meaningful modules over time.
Not a finished camera, but a camera that evolves.

Introducing Live Focus: returning a full decade after its original debut, with an entirely new layer of technology.

The Live Focus project, which was originally released ten years ago, also multiple years before Samsung introduced its feature with the same name, is coming back in 2026 with completely new technology. The new version no longer depends on Apple’s TrueDepth hardware or any special depth-sensing camera. Instead, it uses zero-shot AI depth extraction, which makes it possible to pull spatial information from any image on Earth.

This time, Live Focus is not limited to post-capture refocusing. It now supports AI-generated animations, depth-aware image videos, and even GIF creation, giving static photos a more dynamic, dimensional feel: and this is only the beginning of what we plan to build.

Next year, Live Focus will also be included as one of the core features inside the Delta.

Introducing: codename_Any3d

As an update on the news we previously shared about Depth Images, we are excited to introduce any3d, a pseudonym for a sub-unit of Delta, which will be released as a standalone app before integrating into Delta app. In short, it is a technology that can assign depth to literally any digital image "on Earth" (yes, no worries, we know starlink-paired cloud storage): without the need for specialized depth-sensing camera equipment. Today, for the first time, we are giving you a glimpse into Delta’s journey with this technology. Below, you can see a demo of how an actual photo is converted into an underlying 3D point cloud. This means we are no longer dependent on specific capture devices, which in turn implies that ANY TYPE of media with sequences (videos or even GIFs you see anywhere.) can be processed. In practice, we have achieved real-time rendering performance of around 5ms on older iPhone models (e.g., iPhone 13), and we expect this latency to approach near-zero very soon.
